Join us for a group Skills Session at Poley Mountain!

RAD Skills Sessions are designed to teach you the skills required to improve your downhill riding techniques, and progress to meet your goals for this adventure sport.

This is an opportunity for you to work on skills in a safe environment at the base of the mountain with certified Mountain Bike Instructors prior to progressing to the singletrack lift-access trails after your Session.

Women/Girls+ meaning all those identifying as a woman+ or girl+ and age 8 or older. With thanks to support from Velo NB and our commitment to providing more access to adventure sports, this Session is free! We just ask that you consider a Velo NB membership

Date: Sunday, August 25th

Location: Poley Mountain Bike Skills Park @ Base by Lodge

Time: 10am to 12pm

Topics: Body Positioning & Braking for Descents; Rollers/Pumping; Intro to Drops; Cornering Berms

Groups:

1) Girls+ Ages 8-14

2) Women+ Ages 15+

Please arrive ready to ride at least 15 minutes prior and check-in with our Team at the registration table

Be sure to sign our electronic Release Agreement before you arrive and review our Cancellation Policy and Ride Ready pages to arrive prepared

Do I need my own bike?

Yes, bring a well-tuned mountain bike to your Session. You can also rent a bike and safety gear from Poley Mountain

Do I need a day ticket to participate?

Yes, purchase your Day Ticket for Poley Mountain and have it displayed

Is this for beginners?

Some might assume so, but our Team and community can attest to the positive outcomes with participation in our Skills Sessions, Courses, Camps at any stage in their mountain biking experience. There is always opportunity for progression, and being open to correcting habits is a great way to take your riding to the next level
